The other day during work experience I had a break from the design studio as I was brought behind the scenes of the conservative laboratory. This is where they fix and clean artefacts that are going on display in the museum and where they conserve and preserve objects going into storage.
It was really interesting and I learned a lot. The best thing was I got to examine the bog bodies that have been found in the bogs of Ireland over the past few years. It was really cool to see them even though they looked really disgusting. I really enjoyed this aspect of the museum.
